Since 2017 PrioLas is offering it's compentency, experience, and network access to VCSEL component manufacturers and VCSEL users in the area of fiber based datacom and optical sensing (consumer applications as well has specific industrial solutions). 

Single-mode VCSEL product development started in 2019 with first product releases in 2021. Today, PrioLas is offering a family of VCSEL products emitting around 760 nm, specifically designed for oxygen sensing by TDLAS. Further wavelengths and additional housing formats are being added to the portfolio.

PrioLas combines solid VCSEL know-how based on scientifc background with >20 years of industrial experience. A broad global network of experts, covering all aspects from material science to product design, is available to PrioLas.

Personnel

Dr. Martin Grabherr, founder and General Manager of PrioLas, is your business partner!  His technical skills and expertise are based on the education at Ulm University, Department of Optoelectonics, where he graduated in 2000 with a PhD in the field of VCSEL technology. As co-founder of U-L-M photonics GmbH (since 2019: TRUMPF Photonic Components GmbH) he has > 20 years experience in VCSEL fabrication, technical sales, business development, and general management. This valuable combination of technical expertise, entrepreneurship, and experience is accessable to you as our business partner!

Lin Borowski, Senior Test Specialist. He joined Priolas in 2023 and is responsible for the laser test facilities and laser characterization within Priolas. He has > 20 years experience in VCSEL characterization on industrial level with U-L-M photonics GmbH (since 2019: TRUMPF Photonic Components GmbH).

Technology network

Close cooperation with internationally renowned research institutes, leading manufacturers, and users of photonic semiconductor components (and in particular VCSELs) in addition to the broad network within the optoelectronic society is leveraging the innovative strength of PrioLas.
